Ever Spring I'm in awe of the God's beautiful creation coming to life again! I had to take some pictures of our Azalea bushes. They are absolutely gorgeous! The pictures just don't do them justice! Happy Monday everyone!!!

My family has two dogs. One is an Australian Shepherd named Lacie, and the other one is a English Springer Spaniel named Peaches. Lacie is the older of the two and has been going blind for several years and of late, it has been getting worse. She is a sweetheart and is the favorite of most of the family excepting myself! Peaches is an extremely active dog and anytime something happens in the back yard that shouldn't have, she is the one that is blamed. She is my favorite...probably because I'm the youngest in my family and I can relate to getting into trouble a lot! *grin* All that to say, Peaches is considered "the little devil" at our house, but I now have proof against that theory! This past Tuesday I was down in our basement working on some school. I looked out the window and saw Peaches licking Lacie's eyes. I thought it was kinda weird but I figured there must be a reason for it, so I did what any curious person would do! I got on my computer and googled it! Come to find out, if a older dog is going blind, often times if there is another smart dog around they will pick up on the other dog's problem and will lick the eyes to try to heal/fix the problem. Call me a cry baby, but I started to cry! It was just so sweet! So, contrary to popular belief (in my household,) Peaches is not all bad! Yes the dogs used to get into fights, but now they have grown a bond and really do love each other. Come to think of it, that is almost like siblings. When we were little we would all fight and have little quarrels...and sometimes b, and now, thanks to God and our Parent's making us solve our differences, we are best friends!
This morning my family was all over the place! My parents and my oldest sister were out shopping, another one of my sisters was at work, and the third sister was at school. I was at home doing school and trying to get some crafts done for the up coming craft show. I was tired of sitting and so I got up and went to the basement door. When I opened it this huge *and I mean HUGE (at least 2 or 2 1/2 inches long)* bug flew in and started flying all over the place. I'm not normally scared of bugs but this one was so big and so creepy looking and I couldn't make myself get close enough to it to kill it. Seeing as my whole family was gone and I couldn't call upon them for assistance. My mind was racing and my heart was pounding. It felt like the bug was chasing me or something and I found myself running back and forth in the room trying to stay away from it. Weeeeelllll, I decided to open the door and let Peaches *my dog* into the basement. (Our dogs are outside dogs only and they aren't allowed to come into the basement but in my opinion this was a dire emergency.) Peaches promptly caught site of the bug *it wasn't hard to miss* and stared chasing it all over the basement. With in three minutes she had finally cornered and killed it! I praised her to the end of the century! As I told one of my friends over text a few minutes later "She is my hero for the day!" I love that dog even more than I did before!
This afternoon I was taking a break from practicing and decided to grab the camera and get some pictures of some humming birds. Welllll the humming birds were cooperating...so I decided to go around and find and capture some of the flowers in our back yard! These flowers are on our deck! Our Hydrangeas were slow in coming this year because of some vines that had grown all over the plant and were choking it. We pulled up as many vine as we could, and now the Hydrangeas are finally blooming! They are so gorgeous! No back yard post is complete without pictures of my dogs. This is Peaches. She is extremely active (as you will be able to see from some of the pictures.) She is basically my dog and I think I just might be her favorite human. Lol! She was trying to hide from me so I wouldn't take her stick...I guess she should have ducked her head a little lower! :-) This little sweetie is Lacie. She is completely blind but can find her way around the yard as long as we don't leave anything out of place. She a very calm dog and gets along with everyone. God's creation is amazing! And just think we haven't seen the half of it! 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
